LEAP 2023

LEAP is a global technology event aimed at reshaping the way we live. The second edition, held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition Center in 2023, featured over 700 speakers and 700 exhibitors over 13 sectors as varied as AI and blockchain to space technology and IoT.

Given its massive scale and scope, the event required multiple deliverables for various applications. Our primary brief was to develop an extensive set of videos, which included introduction videos for speakers and panel discussions, and animated fillers, among many others.

Our approach

Starting from the drawing board, we developed a conceptual interpretation for each theme of the four-day event. Once approved, we proceeded to animate them, taking into account the unusual screen shapes and dimensions, while ensuring all parts of the screen would be visible. We created speaker introduction videos, panel discussion introduction videos, as well as introduction videos for the Rocket Fuel start-up competition. All rendered videos were carefully tested to rule out issues of pixelation or illegibility.

As generally happens with events of this nature, we had to prepare for the unexpected. One way we did this is by creating static screens as failsafe back-ups for all the introduction videos. All of the content we developed, from imagery to video, tone of voice and messaging, was carefully created to take into account regional sensibilities. 

For us as a company, this project was an excellent opportunity to grow and learn. Its demanding and fast-paced nature challenged us to develop new ways of coordinating and sharing content with the client in real time.
