FIFA World Cup travel related Microsite for Travelex: Worry-free currency. One promise.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was one of the most significant sporting events ever hosted in the Middle East. Eleven777 designed and built a conversion-focused microsite for Travelex, a digital brand experience that needed to sit at the intersection of utility, reassurance and event relevance, and give travellers a clear, confident reason to exchange currency before departing.

Strategic positioning

The strategic proposition was simple: remove friction from the foreign exchange journey and replace it with clarity. The homepage led with a bold promise, “Worry-free currency,” backed by an Unlimited Same Rate Guarantee that positioned Travelex as the smarter, more reassuring choice for World Cup travellers.

The microsite’s visual language reinforced that tone: a premium dark palette, strong contrast, and a sense of motion and light that echoed the scale of the event without competing with it. The information architecture was built for conversion; an “Easy as 1 2 3” benefits section simplified the product story, a store locator the programmers developed made the next step obvious, and a structured FAQ neutralised final objections. Every UX element was designed to convert.

The final microsite became more than a landing page for a seasonal offer. Every element was designed to move users from curiosity to confidence, and from consideration to action. By combining a sharp headline idea, a structured information journey, and a premium visual system, the work gave Travelex a digital platform that felt purpose-built for the moment.
